I plan to be there on Friday... anyone else going from my neck of the woods or further east? The long term forcast is looking pretty good. Looks like it's close to 800 nm for me.

A TFR has been issued for the KVIS airport. EFFECTIVE from 0800 7 September 2012 to 1600 10 September 2012 from the surface to 3,000 ft AGL. Expect severe hot air up and down drafts along with possible HAZMAT fumes from various ground locations. Severe laughter and a lot of "Jock-U-Larierty" will be on the agenda ! FAT FSS ;)

It was a great fly-in Dan... thanks so very much to all of you for making it one of the best ever! The food was really special... you & Ira are a couple of very lucky guys! It was also good to meet some of the guys from this forum face to face. What a great group of good people to share a weekend with!

Made it home in about 5.1 hrs. I got up high and put the oxygen on... was seeing 190 to 200 mph ground speed for a good portion of the trip, then really got kicked around by turbulence over the Rockies. Man, there are a lot of mountains (and MOAs) between Denver and Visalia!

Thanks again for a wonderful time!

Many THANKS to Dan, Ira and all the other locals involved in the planning and execuation of the VIS event. The food was AWSOME and the company maybe just as great. Good beer is always welcome.
I made it home in 5:26 with stops at RDD & PDT. Lots of good tail winds when I turned the corner at RDD and headed NE.
Kentucky Dam is next for me enroute to KPMP for the winter.
Safe flying for everyone. OLD GUY'S RULE
