My standard T-18 with the throttle in the center of the panel and a O-290G has a vernier throttle with the following tag, ACS Products A750BL0440. I would like to replace it with a friction throttle. I can find reference to an A-750 but I don't know what the BL0440 means. My cowl is the old type and has 72 screws in it so I wanted to order it before I take the plane out of service. The reason I want to change it is because I'm a new Thorp pilot(2.1 hrs) and it's giving me fits on landings when I need to increase or decrease power near the runway.
Any help will be appreciated.

the 0440 is the length of the control. it is taken form the base of the mounting nut to the end of the cable wit it fully extended.
