So......am through my third perusal of the drawings - I keep staring at drawing 599 and am curious - who's using the "ball lock pins" called out on the drawings vs AN bolts - if so, and since Avdel does not seem to have them anymore, anyone know the equivalent? I'm not able to decipher the code in the Avdel call out/product description. All that said, I'm partial to turning bolts, vs push button bolts, unless swayed by those of higher lernin.

I am making a list of the all the hardware/fittings this project needs and this one keeps slapping me upside the head.

Note to cubes - yeah I know.....Bonzo was supposed to be in bed two hours ago.

The ball lock pins shown on the 599 drawing were intended to allow you to drop the wing off the plane. You would also have ball lock pins on the rear spar as well as on the flap torque tubes. I have never seen a Thorp so constructed. Normally, the ball lock pins are not used in attaching the wing to the fuselage. Use the correct AN bolt
